Wednesday Weigh-in (Thanksgiving style)

Published on 12/3/2008

With Thanksgiving last week I was very surprised to not show a gain. I ate what I wanted on Thanksgiving and it was a mistake. I felt like crap later that night. It has thrown me off track and I have not been eating as good as I should be.

The habit of cooking at home has been broken. It is just so easy to pick something up. Working 10 hour days doesn’t help much either. Still have been avoiding fast food. So that is good. I’m getting back on track so expect a nice loss next week…

Start weight – 298lbs
Current weight – 272.5lbs
Last weight – 273lbs
Lost this week – .5lbs
Total lost – 25.5lbs

  1. You know what did me in on Thanksgiving? The pumpkin pie. If I would have skipped the pie, I would have felt a lot better, that night. There is a fine line between “just enough” and “too much!”

@Roy Scribner: It was all the sugar that did me in. I don’t eat much “sweets” normally so between the pie and home made toffee I was in a sugar coma…

Not bad at all for Thanksgiving week! Just keep at it!!!

  4. Pretty cool- stumbling on the site. I am also Florence resident- and I do the cycling and walking thing. I’ve been thinking about the couch25k program as well. Although I have been doing Weight Watchers in conjunction (lost 44 lbs, and that’s what got me back to exercising). Anyway- just some rambling but good to see this blog :)

I’ve been following you on Twitter and now am visiting your blog. I too am trying to lose some weight–boy, would I love to be back to just-post-thru-hike shape! I have 15 weeks till my 40th birthday and am hoping to lose 15lbs by then. So keep up the good work and help motivate me!

@Mapu: I did Weight Watchers on line a while back and had some success, but gained it back when I stopped Paying for the service thinking I could keep track on my own. 44lbs is great keep it up!
