Losing weight on vacation is something I just don’t plan.  I am on vacation in Florida for a week or so and while it would be nice to eat healthy every day that just doesn’t  sounds like fun.  One of the points of vacation for me is trying new foods or going ro the restoronts you love that you don’t have at home.  For me this is Waffle House, for some unknown reason

I love the waffle house.  So if I gain a few pounds on vacation that is fine by me, I just know that I haveto work extra hard when I get home.  Don’t get me wrong it is not all out the window while down here.  I picked hotels that had fitness rooms and I am going to try and use them.  I am planing on a couple of hikes and I am sure that we will be doing plenty of walking so all might turn out OK.

  1. Wow, South of the Border brings back some memories – used to stop there on the way to Myrtle Beach on weekends.

  2. I had always wanted to try a Waffle House and got the chance to a couple years ago in Florida. It was everything I’d hoped it could be. It felt like a greasy spoon kind of dive, which I love, and the waitress was so friendly and helpful it was one of the highlights of a trip that included all the Orlando attractions. I finally got to try real grits, too, which were okay, but I think I’ll stick to my oatmeal. Good luck with the lifestyle change!
