I was sick for week 22 weigh in so I didn’t bother weighing in… I believe that when you are sick you need to focus on getting better, not counting what you are eating. Heck I bet I enough cough drops some days to fill my recommended calorie intake. The gym was out of the question last week too… This week I am getting back on the gym routine and this weekend is going to be 80 and sunny so I can’t want to get out…

With spring comes ticks… It seems to be worse and worse every year. On an average hike I can pick at least 3-4 ticks off me and if I have the dog with me double that off him. Ticks carry lyme disease and rocky mountain spotted fever. The risk of contacting lyme disease increases after 24-72 hours after the tick attaches. At least with pets you have the availability of Revolution, Advantage, Advantix, and the like. For us two legged folks we are not so lucky… We don’t have any magic topical drops to repel ticks. In this post I will go over some ways to help keep you tick free.

Had to cut todays hike a bit short due to a late start and the park closing at 6:30. The hike from Enfield Lookout is a nice little loop with moderate elevation changes. The hike takes you along the shore of the Quabbin Reservoir (yelow blazes). This loop also offers 3 geocaches to be found if that is yor thing. Many more can be found in the area i you want to make a day of it…
I want to go back and do the full loop (6 miles) soon and I will post more with that trip.

Getting back on track is not easy…
